Two weeks ago, the Daisy’s went to Bell Buckle, Tennessee to THE biggest craft show I have ever seen. We had a blast!! These are the most fun women in the world!! I do nothing but laugh when we are together. Although this time I hobbled and laughed because of this foot that’s driving me slap dab crazy! It doesn’t seem to want to heal ~ could it have been the two day walking marathon we went on….surely not!
Here goes…..get ready cause there’s lots of pictures and lots of fun!
We’re on our way - Daisy Debbie is driving my van cause I absolutely, positively hate driving. Emily is the navigator along with Bernard (our GPS man ~ he’s English and we had to name him). Danna & I sat in the back ~ she’s taking this.
Here’s just one of the streets we traveled. There are booths EVERYwhere and tons and tons of stuff. They told us there was over 10,000 people there. I believe it! We love talking to the people and the festive atmosphere.
We stayed at a B&B that was beautiful!
Here’s the sunroom. We scrapbooked and crocheted and knitted and visited. It was cold in this room, can you tell?
We went to a restuarant that night and ate and we each had a different dessert. Country cooking and goood! We each had a different dessert so we could try them all! No we were not gluttons, we were SHARING!
I’ll show you this headband Debbie has on in a minute. She got entirely too much attention with this! I bet 30 people asked her where she got it! The other Daisies were much offended ~ because we were totally ignored! Not really! We love Debbie Jo!
Now can you see how we were all coordinated with our white and red and jeans along with our vintage daisy pins that Emily has bought for us. Well, we tried to do this the day before but it did not work. We ended up in coats, caps and scarves because it was cold and misting rain! “We liked to froze!” - that’s redneck talk for “It was extremely frigid weather on Saturday.” This was Sunday and it worked better. Yes we know it was Sunday and yes we are God fearing women and most of us have a Sunday school class of some sort that we either teach or attend but we are also mamas that need a break so we got someone to fill in for us and we took off two whole days!! We came back better women ~ believe me!
Now, here’s Debbie in that headband. Don’t be posting comments that you want to know where to get these or who to buy them from cause I do not know but I do know this ~ everybody can not wear these things! Debbie has a certain style (she calls it attitude) but I say style cause she can flat wear a hat - no two ways about it!
Breakfast time! We loved being served! It made us feel so special. Pretty dishes, a pretty room ~ we loved it!
Here’s Danna standing by the front door. The wood work in this place was just awesome. Danna is our accomadations coordinator and she really outdid herself this time. The Daisy’s were very impressed:)
This is what I came for! Frozen cheesecake dipped in chocolate!
This is what Emily came for - to shop!
Don’t tell me we can’t find a way to rest! This is at the end of the second day and Danna & Debbie were about to drop!
Phyllis DID drop!
But Emily’s still going strong! The men in the children’s book booth got her to make their announcements for them because of her exceptional vocal skills.
We’ve got the van packed so high we can’t see out the back. We’ve bought Christmas gifts, everything crocheted we could find, food that made us sick and now it’s time to leave.
So long Bell Buckle… we loved our time here!
We have a few people we want to “advertise” on here but I don’t have all the pictures yet. If you are one of those that we met at Bell Buckle, I haven’t forgotten you. Just hang on and check back in a few weeks. Thank you:)
Talk to ya later:)
